Good afternoon. I'd like to make a query, please.
Hello. Take a seat, please.
This is how administrative deadlines work:
If a deadline's established in days, only working days count. In other words, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays don't count.
If a deadline's established in months or years, you start counting from the day after receiving a notification or submitting an application. If the month in which the established period ends has less days than the month in which it began, the deadline will fall on the last day of the month.
What do you mean? I don't understand.
For example, if you're given a deadline of a month and you start counting on 30 January, the deadline will fall on 28 February. You also have to remember that if the day on which the deadline falls is a non-working day, the deadline will be extended until the next working day.
What happens if there's a public holiday in the city where I live but not in the city where I have to submit my documents?
In that case, you have to regard the day in question as a working day. If the situation were the other way round, you would consider it to be a non-working day.
Thanks very much. You've been very helpful.
You're welcome.
