Hello! I've been told I can find out about the AMPA here.
We're a group of parents who voluntarily run certain services to help the school function properly, such as school meals, out-of-hours childcare, extracurricular activities, etc.
We hold a meeting every year and invite families to take part in it. AMPA representatives are chosen by means of voting.
We hardly have any time...
There are other ways to help with the AMPA’s work. In addition to positions of responsibility, there are a number of committees formed by groups of parents and which are in charge of certain jobs, such as preparing the school’s celebrations.
The AMPA in my country is very different.
Here, it’s a participatory body that shares responsibility with the school for the children’s education.
Do we have to pay to be members?
Fine. We'd like to be members. We'll be glad to be able to take part in and contribute to the school's activities.
